About Dr. Abboud

Precision in technique. Thoughtfulness in every detail.

Dr. Michel Abboud is an otolaryngologist–head and neck surgeon with advanced subspecialty fellowship training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. His path to facial aesthetics has been shaped by years of rigorous surgical training, a deep understanding of facial anatomy, and an appreciation for the balance between form, function, and individuality.

Dr. Abboud earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, graduating Cum Laude and receiving Alpha Omega Alpha (AΩA) honors. He previously graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maryland with a degree in Neurobiology and Physiology.

Following medical school, he completed a five-year residency in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery in Detroit where he developed broad experience in complex surgical and medical conditions of the face, head, and neck. He subsequently pursued advanced fellowship training through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in New York City, with focused experience in aesthetic, functional, and reconstructive facial surgery—including primary and revision rhinoplasty and deep plane rhytidectomy.

His approach to facial plastic surgery is grounded in careful analysis rather than a one-size-fits-all aesthetic. Every face has its own proportions, character, and structural relationships. The goal is not simply to alter a feature, but to understand how that feature relates to the face as a whole—and to create a result that feels balanced, natural, and appropriate for the individual.

Dr. Abboud’s interest in evidence-based care extends beyond the operating room. His academic work has included research and publication in rhinoplasty, nasal function, facial plastic surgery, reconstruction, and patient experience. His work has appeared in peer-reviewed surgical literature and has been presented at academic and national meetings.

Just as important as technical expertise is the relationship between surgeon and patient. Dr. Abboud believes that excellent care begins with listening—understanding what concerns a patient, what they hope to achieve, and what will realistically serve them best. From consultation through recovery, his aim is to provide thoughtful guidance, clear communication, and a highly individualized experience.
